Welcome to the delightful world of Auspicious Baking Company, a gem nestled in Savannah, Georgia, at 7360 Skidaway Rd. This bakery has rightfully earned its reputation as a must-visit stop for anyone with a passion for pastries. The ambiance is quick and convenient, perfect for those who want to indulge on the go, although you may find a few tables to catch your breath and enjoy your selections.
Auspicious Baking Company is particularly beloved for its innovative offerings, which range from sweet to savory. The prime rib croissant has garnered a loyal following, as articulated by customer Amanda G., who can't help but crave it daily since her first bite. And for those following a vegan diet or with dietary restrictions, the bakery shines by providing alternatives thoughtfully, ensuring cross-contamination is kept in mind, exemplified by Amanda's positive experience with her son’s dairy allergy. Their commitment to a plastic-free environment also speaks to the conscious consumer's heart.
As you step inside, be prepared for the tantalizing aroma of fresh baked goods. The smell alone hints at the delightful experience that awaits. Reviews from patrons such as K R. highlight the extraordinary quality of pastries and breads, with a recommendation to arrive early to snag the best selection. Weekend lines may curl out the door, but rest assured the friendly staff ensures the wait is worthwhile.
Don’t miss the unique baked goods that come with a twist; favorites like the Blueberry Cheesecake Croissant and the Blackberry Pistachio Croissant Loaf are sure to please even the most discerning palate. If savory is more your style, Sarah B. mentioned their rotating schedule for items like bagels and focaccia, which are available on specific days—guaranteeing you'll always find something new and exciting to try.
Not only does Auspicious Baking Company prioritize quality, but they also offer a thoughtful selection of soups, salads, and delightful spreads such as their highly-praised chive cream cheese, which Katie W. thoroughly enjoyed. For those who come seeking vegan options, Bruce K. noted that the flavors were there, and customers could indulge in the scrumptious croissants without guilt, despite some density in the texture.
However, be conscious that with any bakery experience, especially one catering to varied dietary needs, there is a note of caution regarding cross-contamination. As Vanessa N. pointed out, while the vegan offerings are enticing, they may not be suitable for those with strict allergies. It’s a reminder of the importance of clear communication when enjoying some of life’s greatest pleasures—food.
For an experience packed with exceptional taste and variety, Auspicious Baking Company is undoubtedly a bakery that deserves a spot on your must-visit list. Don’t wait too long—swing by early, grab a croissant or two, and join the growing legions of fans who can’t get enough of what Auspicious has to offer!

Ugh!!!! So worth the wait in line! The prime rib croissant, why was that even invented?! I've been craving it daily since! I absolutely LOVE that they have vegan options! My son has a dairy allergy and they even used a new pair of gloves to get his chocolate croissant as not to cross contaminate. His allergy/intolerance isn't that bad but I think it's great that they do that. Nice big parking lot. Always a long line on weekend but moves fast enough. Great service! Few tables inside to eat but mostly is best to grab and go!

Still my favorite place to get pastries and bread from. Lucky for me it's still across town. I seem to not manage to limit myself because everything is always fabulous.. love the store and the set up, which always has me buying "everything". Very friendly and speedy staff. Come early to be first in line or preorder!

This is the best bakery in Savannah and I'm so excited for their new location in Whitemarsh to open. They offer the best sweet and savory baked goods Wednesday - Sunday. If you're looking for something specific check out their website to see which items they'll be releasing as they have certain things only on specific date (bagels and focaccia on Sundays, pretzels on Saturdays, etc). There is usually a line but it moves quickly so don't be deterred by that. The service is quick and everyone there is so kind. The only problem is deciding what to order! Ambiance in this location is more grab & go with only a few tables. I wouldn't recommend staying to eat there as the tables are often surrounded by people waiting in line. I can't wait to come here every weekend; they deserve all the praise and hope they continue to thrive!

Found this place on Yelp and I knew I had to make a stop. The line goes out the door, but the front end of the shop is pretty small and the line moves quick. The employees are super friendly and their suggestions are spot on. We got the Blueberry Cheesecake Croissant, Blackberry Pistachio Croissant Loaf, Quiche, Salmon & Cream Cheese Croissant, and Harissa Croissant. My favorite was the blackberry pistachio croissant--it wasn't too sweet and the croissant was still lightly crisp. The Harissa was a close favorite, though I wish the Harissa was a bit spicier. I wish I had more time (and stomach space) to return and try the other amazing pastries they have!

I was visiting Savannah and drove 25 minutes outside of the city to stop ay this bakery. The pastries are incredible and it's definitely worth the drive. There aren't really seats inside so I recommend planning to get pastries to go. The service was great and I was in and out in under three minutes.

After hearing non-stop rave reviews about Auspicious, it was finally time we try it! They are located in a small strip mall in Sandfly with plenty of parking out front. I decided to stop in late on a weekend which was a mistake. There were very few pastries to choose from so make sure to go before noon if you would like good options! In addition to baked goods, they had cute little gifts, delicious looking soups and a WONDERFUL chive cream cheese that I had to bring home with me. The cream cheese had so much flavor and officially ruined grocery store bought cream cheese. For sweets I decided on pound cake, red velvet squares, and a coconut croissant. The red velvet squares were huge, tasty and perfectly moist. The coconut croissant was so flaky and basically a coconut macaroon in croissant form - what dreams are made of! Lastly, the pound cake was not to my liking. It was very dry. I am not sure if it had been out for a couple of days or what but I did not eat it. I am looking forward to coming back for yummy treats earlier in the morning and do see what the hype is all about for this place just based on the few items I really enjoyed. Until next time!

We were recommended Auspicious Baking for vegan options. Coming here it's a small shop and I would say 90% of the store was bakery shop. That's what I liked to see. We had someone with an egg allergy so it was good to know that vegan options were there. I got one of each of the options with the vegan options. The pastries were great! I think they were a little bit dense, but I would have to say that the flavors were there. The croissant still had fluffy bubbles of air inside the bread too as well which I thought was amazing especially with the difficulty without butter. I enjoyed all of their sandwiches. BBQ? Sure, that wasn't bad and I enjoyed it. I thought the Lox sandwich was a bit off. You just can't do lox without having it fresh. If you like salmon, it's a bit different as the salmon is inside the pastry as it's cooked so the salmon that comes out is cooked. Last thing to note, vegan doesn't always mean allergy free. I can see that cross contamination is very possible especially when you're cooking egg products. There's nothing wrong with that, but if you have an allergy, I would just say be careful. Auspicious provides the vegan options (which are great), but if you get a reaction, I would tread very carefully. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend Auspicious if you're looking for a bakery with fresh products.

Not really sure what else to say here other than, go! But make sure you hit the line before ~at least~ 11am or else you may have slim pickings due to high demand. Lived in Savannah for almost 2 years before I figured this place out & I have regrets! It's hard to recommend what to get, as you probably can't go wrong with anything you order. My favs so far have been the Everything Bagel Seasoning Croissant (whatever they put inside is magic!) & the Red Velvet Square (pretty sure this is seasonal). I also took one of their Plain Croissants home & made an egg & bacon breakfast sandwich out of it, which did not disappoint. There are some small tables to sit at inside, but the space itself it fairly small. Again, make sure you plan to go early. Or else expect to wait in line and potentially have limited items to choose from. The staff is always friendly, so even if you're impatient from showing up late, they'll cheer you up when you get to the counter!

It's always nice to find bakeries that offer vegan options. Our local friend recommended this place to us as someone in our group had an egg allergy, and our friend comes here often with their child who has an egg allergy (including baked goods containing eggs). From the vegan options, I got to try the croissant, chocolate croissant, almond turnover, and the maple glazed bun. Obviously the pastries are missing the buttery taste of regular pastries, but these are really good. The almond turnover was my favorite. I also had the regular chocolate croissant and wished I ordered more than 1. While there are vegan options, they are not allergy friendly. If you are looking for vegan options due to allergies I would not come here due to cross contamination. Our friend with the egg allergy ended up having a moderate reaction after eating the vegan chocolate croissant. (Please note that I'm not blaming Auspicious! It's a hit and miss with allergies and bakeries. We came knowing the risks. Just wanted to make this note for people looking for allergy friendly spots.)

The selection wasn't great when I stopped in, likely because it was late on a weekend afternoon. Nonetheless, the chocolate croissant and porridge loaf I had were top quality. Besides its flakiness, my croissant had three chocolate batons inside, making for a more comprehensive chocolate experience than most of these things where you get a lot of bites with no chocolate at all. My loaf with oatmeal mixed in was delicious and lasted a while. They had a variety of hummus and soups and salads which perhaps I should have gotten. Not a ton of other sweet pastries, but given the pictures available, I might stop by at a different time and see if I can get more of a selection.
